Make a Donation

The San Francisco Irish Famine Memorial Project is ready to move from plans to construction, and your support can help make that happen. The total cost of the project is estimated at approximately one million dollars for the design and construction of the plaza, interpretive materials, and future public artwork.

To provide a secure donation process, the Irish Famine Memorial project has partnered with SD Mayer & Associates as its financial sponsor under a 501(c)(3) structure. This means donations are processed through a recognized nonprofit framework, and contributions may be tax‑deductible to the extent allowed by law. Funds are held and managed specifically for the San Francisco Irish Famine Memorial, with oversight that gives donors confidence their gifts are being carefully stewarded and applied to the project’s goals.

You can make an online donation through the donate button on this website which links directly to the donation page hosted by SD Mayer, at https://ifp.sdmayer.com/.

If you prefer to give by check, please make it payable to “San Francisco Irish Famine Memorial.” Mailing instructions are available on the donation page.

To recognize and thank those who provide major support, the project offers permanent naming opportunities. Donors who contribute $10,000 or more will have their name (or family name) included as part of the memorial exhibit. This is a powerful way to honor your ancestors, commemorate loved ones, or signal your family’s enduring connection to the story of the Irish in San Francisco.

If you are considering a leadership gift, corporate sponsorship, or a planned gift, the committee would be pleased to speak with you directly. For more information, please contact Pat Uniacke at (650) 218‑4191.
